Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Private Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance. The entries in this diary span the period 14 August to 21 September 1915 and cover his medical evacuation to the 2nd Australian General Hospital at Mena House in Egypt, his subsequent convalescence, and sightseeing in Cairo. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the second of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
