Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Lance Corporal Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance (AFA). The entries in this diary span the period 23 July to 9 August 1916 and cover the movement of the 1st AFA to Warloy near Albert. The 1st Division had been moved south from Armentieres to take part in a nearby attack at Pozieres, something which Richards comments on. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the third of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
