Description
Collection relating to the Second World War and British Commonwealth Occupation Force service of VX39409 Sergeant Eric Nelson, Australian Army Pay Corps, Malaya and Japan, 1941-1948. Collection consists of 20 items including poetry written by Nelson, letters, leave passes, receipts, telegrams and one small notebook used as a diary. The collection follows Nelson's service during the Second World War and also provides some details of the experiences of he and his family while they lived in Japan as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force between 1946 and 1948.
