Description
Family and friends see off 2784336 Signalman (Sig) Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, at Taree Railway Station at the end of his pre-embarkation leave at his home in Nabiac, NSW. Sig Weller is returning to his unit in Brisbane before commencing his National Service tour of Vietnam. One of 477 colour 35mm transparencies taken or collected by Sig Weller relating to his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968. Sig Weller notes: "First cousin Bob Richardson and his wife Margaret stand beside my elder brother Bruce [Douglas Bruce Weller] on the platform ... What my father’s [Leslie Robert Weller] thoughts were, there in the background, I can only guess wildly at."
