Informal outdoor group portrait of members of 460 Squadron RAAF at RAF Station Binbrook, England. In this group are Flying Officer Strachan (position unknown) and Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Leonard W Dorricott (standing left) DFM, RAF. Flt Lt Dorricott enlisted at 17 and trained as a navigator in Canada and Miami before he was assigned to 460 Squadron RAAF. He was one of several crew who flew in the Avro Lancaster Mk I Bomber "G for George" (W4783). Flt Lt Dorricott was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal on 10 December 1943, and went on to complete thirty sorties with 460 Squadron.
