RAAF jungle survival course at Canungra
Description
The RAAF run courses in jungle survival for their aircrew at the Jungle Training Centre, Canungra. The airmen are taught how to utilise any piece of equipment they may have such as their parachute, and how to supplement their rations or even just live off the land. The Chief Instructor is Squadron Leader Keith 'Jungle Jim' Kennington, who has been running these course for 5 years. Identified personnel: Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Cutler; Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Stickler; Flt Lt Geoff Banfield of No. 10 Squadron RAAF Townsville; Pilot Officer (PO) Les Moore; PO John O'Brien of 10 Squadron RAAF; PO Ron Lawford.
