Description

Journal typed up from notes made on scraps of paper. Discusses training, leave, garrisoning of Tobruk and battles there, German attacks on the perimeter, patrols, counter attacks, evacuation. Journal continues with his marriage in Jerusalem, and further active service in the Egyptian desert at Sidi Bishr, the coastal sector at El Alamein, salvage of stores and equipment, battle at Tel el Eisa, and the return to Australia.
