Description

RAAF Lockheed Hudson bomber aircraft, possibly at RAAF Station Richmond after being assembled by No 2 Aircraft Depot (AD), following their receipt in component form from America. Hudsons were also assembled at No 1 AD at RAAF Station Laverton in Victoria. The Hudson in the distance, A16-5, was delivered on 26 January 1940 and issued to No. 2 Squadron RAAF. It was damaged at Drysdale field in northern Western Australia on 7 March 1942 and 'demolished by Army authorities' according to RAAF records.
