German G 98 Rifle Grenade firing stand captured by the 31 Battalion on 8 August 1918
Description
Rifle grenade firing stand made from steel parts. The stand consists of a four posted frame onto which a Gewehr 98 rifle was attached. The frame is attached to a square wooden baseplate which has provision for limited traverse. The rifle clamp has a simple metal elevation plate attached. The stand is painted matt grey. There are no markings.
