Description

Diaries record sea voyage to Middle East, work as a clerk at Gaza, return voyage to Australia; active service in New Guinea including the Battle at Milne Bay opposing the Japanese landing, in particular at Rabi and K.B. Mission; landing at Goodenough Island; and his evacuation to Australia with tropical rashes. Comments on lack of political support in Middle East and Greece, conditions in New Guinea, the `no prisoners' attitude, and support of RAAF.
