Rymer, Andrew Vernon William (Warrant Officer)
Description
Papers of 404639 Warrant Officer Andrew Rymer documenting his service with the Royal Australian Airforce during the Second World War. His records include albums, souvenirs, service documents and log books describing his training in Canada and capture near Tobruk in June 1942. Rymer was a prisoner of war at prison camps PG57 Udine and PG66 Capua, in Italy and Stalag XVIIIA, Spittal an der Drau, Austria. Other items in the collection include a transcript of an interview he gave in December 1945 about his experiences and published accounts of prisoner of war activities.
