German Pattern 1934 Air Force Officer's Sword and Scabbard
Description
German Pattern 1934 Air Force Officer's sword and scabbard. The hilt has a alluminium cross guard in the design of wings with a gilt rounded swastika within a circle in the centre. The grip is blue leather (scuffed) bound with silver wire and the alluminium disc pommel has the gilt rounded swastika. The double edged nickel plated blade is plain with a central single 250 mm fuller to both sides down from the guard. The ricasso is engraved with the Puma trade mark Solingen. The blue leather scabbard, scuffed in parts, has an alluminium chape and locket with two loose rings on the sides.
