Description

German Artillery Sword Scabbard. Curved steel scabbard with a fixed hanger ring attached to band 80 mm from the throat. The screws are missing from the throat mouth and the orignal blued finish is now an overall grey rust patina.

History / Summary

This type of sword was originally designed for the Prussian Artillery. In 1871 it was adopted by the other German States and used during the First World War.
