3.7 cm Field Gun & Carriage (Italy)
Description
3.7 cm breech-loading gun on a two wheeled carriage. The carriage is of rivetted steel plate. Vertical sliding breech block. Inscription on upper surface of breech reads: 'Direzione artiglirria Torp Armi Portatili Venezia UC' . Inscription on barrel between trunnion caps reads: '1893/ No 586/ PESO Kg 43/ Mn 2368 H'. The wheels are wooden spoked, with the upper ends of the spokes fitted into steel shoes, which are rivetted onto the felloes.
