Description

Model 1903 75 mm Field Gun contract used by the Turkish Army during the First World War. This gun was made by Krupp and is one of 558 made to Turkish specifications. The gun has a box trail with an horizontal sliding breech block. Gun has a shield attached for crew protection. The wheels have wooden spokes with steel wheel rims. Turkish cyphers on breech block. All markings are matching.Serial number 164.

History / Summary

Captured in Palestine in 1918 by the Australian Light Horse. This gun is acting as a gate guardian at RMC Duntrron as at October 2016.
