Collection relating to the Second World War service of 416458 Warrant Officer Ross George Rumsby, 3 Squadron RAAF, 1936-1945.

Records collected by Rumsby during his pre-enlistment education, his Empire Air Training Scheme (EATS) training and his operational RAAF service.

Wallet 1 of 3 - Consists of a notebook kept during initial training and a flying log book, containing entries dated 1941 to 1945, which Rumsby kept throughout service in Australia, England, Egypt, Naples, Crete and Sinello.

Wallet 2 of 3 - Includes RAAF Reservists examination questions, course programme, 1936 school examination papers, information on Air Crew Entry under the EATS, enrolment in RAAF, pre-enlistment procedures and corrected examination papers, certificates relating to Rumsby's service and discharge and warrant and photographs of Rumbsy with other members of 3 Squadron and a 1000 Kuna note.

Wallet 3 of 3 - Contains RAAF related press clippings, souvenir menu from the No. 3 Squadron Christmas Dinner in 1944, souvenir booklet on Operation Bowler on 21 March 1945, souvenir of Desert Air Force fly past, and well used navigation maps for North Sea, Midlands and Wales, Italy, Graz and Verona.
