Description
Collection relating to the Second World War experiences of Roy Driver, war correspondent, Korea, Borneo and New Guinea, 1943-1945. Collection consists of five typed documents including three accounts of action and two letters. The letters, from 1943 and 1944, recount Driver's time in Nadzab, including the Battle of Lae and miscellaneous action against Japanese soldiers. Other documents detail activities and action undertaken by Australian and Allied troops in Korea, Balikpapan and Tarakan in 1945, including descriptions of Seoul and Russian camps in Korea, time spent sailing in a Navy convoy and beach landings at Tarakan.
