Early life; joining militia; first camp at St Ives then Wallgrove; receiving commission; duties and the drugs dispensed; unit posted to Eagle Farm in Queensland; then to Rockhampton; problems/rivalry between Australian and US troops; unit posted to Ravenshoe; supplying quinine to troops returning from New Guinea; unit sent to Townsville; unit shipped to New Guinea on 'Duntroon'; Vic stationed at headquarters at Rigo Road; duties as adjutant; sent to Wae; description of local natives; trip to Nadzab with Colonel Bretherton and two others; recreational sport; sent to Lae then return to Australia; unit disbanded.
