Description

Martini-Henry single shot cavalry carbine. The receiver is engraved with an Arabic inscription from the Koran that translates as 'Nothing can be accomplished unless God is willing'. It has a modified or cut back fore end that is held to the barrel with sheet steel bands and the rear sight is bent. The front nose cap and band are original but incorrectly fitted. The sling swivels, cleaning rod and leather sling are hand made. The butt has some storage scratch marks.
