Woodward, Jack Keith (Flight Lieutenant, b.1916)
A mixed collection consisting of diaries, flying logbook, reconnaissance photographs and the book 'Three Times Lucky' written by O18312 Flight Lieutenant Jack Woodward. The diaries cover the period March 1941 to March 1942 and provide details on Woodward's enlistment as an Observer (Navigator) in the RAAF, his intial training in Australia, being posted to 27 Squadron RAF in Northern Malaya, the invasion of Malaya by the Japanese and being evacuation to Singapore, crash landing in Java, and being evacuated from Java to Ceylon and then to Australia. The collection also contains information on Woodward time in the RAAF flying Bostons, Liberators, Blenheims and Catalinas. The flying logbook contains details on all training Woodward completed throughout the war.
