Original and transcript of brief diary kept by Walter A Bock in Port Moresby August 1914. He was a machinist at Papuan Government Printing Office. Records shipping movements (Encounter, Kanowna, Yarra, Parramatta, Aroangi and Warrego) in Fairfax Harbour and activities at the radio station including drill practice. The record was kept in the back of a writing pad (Swastika brand). Also originals of photographic postcards (now copied as AWM photographs P1434/01 to P1434/07) of Port Moresby Harbour August 1914. The photographs show HMAS Encounter and HMAS Kanowna and the radio station. They may have been taken by Bock.
