Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk I* Sectioned Rifle
Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk I* Sectioned Rifle. Shortened barrel and no front stock wood. It is cut away on both sides and highlighted in red paint to expose the working mechanism. Marked on the action No4 Mk1* F(FTR) Long Branch 1943 and the serial number. The butt is wood and has an alloy plate with a trap for cleaning equipment. A Mark 111 ladder aperture sight is fitted to the rear of the action.
This rifle has been cut down and sectioned for training purposes. The markings indicate that the conversion was undertaken at Fazackerley Royal Ordnance Factory in the UK.
