Ratchet handle for adjustable feet of 88 mm Gun
Description
Ratchet handle for adjusting the support pads for the Flak 36 dual purpose Anti-Aircraft Gun. Handles are adjustable. A small lever enables forward and reverse movement of the ratchet mechanism to allow up and down movement of the foot. Painted surface is original German desert yellow.
History / Summary
The Ratchet of the 88mm Anti Aircraft Gun was manufactured in Germany, and is used to adjust the height of the feet on the stabiliser arms of the carriage. The gun was used in North Africa during the Second World War.
