Description
"A Special Kind of Service : the story of the 2/9 Australian General Hospital 1940-1946". An account of the work of the 2/9 AGH from its formation in 1940, duty in the Middle East, return to Australia, duty in New Guinea until the closure of the hospital at Morotai in 1946. Describes the work and conditions under which the medical officers were forced to perform during war time. Gives roll of those who were decorated (incomplete) and those who died.
