Description
Scrap book of articles and cuttings relating to the life and work of Private Bob Fox. He served as a horse breaker in the 3rd Light Horse Brigade in the 1914 - 1918 war and then in the 1939-1945 war with 2/3rd Machine Gun Battalion. As part of Blackforce he was taken prisoner of the Japanese in Java and later moved to Thailand with Dunlop Force. He is remembered for his work making artificial legs for men whose limbs had been amputated. Included are photographs of Bob Fox and of the war time tributes to him from the surgeons in the POW hospitals and an account of his post war life.
