Neumann , Mr Claude
Thesis "Australia's Citizen Soldiers, 1919-1939 : a study of organisation, command, recruiting, training and equipment." Examines how successful Australia's citizen soldiers were in their training and duties and how prepared they were for their role in anti invasion and anti air raid functions in the period 1919 to 1939. Concludes that they could not have fulfilled their roles and that this role was widely debated by British and Australian defence planners because of the different perceptions of the threat. MA thesis, Univeristy of New South Wales (Duntroon), 1978.
