"Taradale to Tarakan". Memoir discusses the experiences of an artillery man in North Africa and the Pacific Theatres. Chapters cover the 14th battery training at Northam Camp, training in Palestine, at Amariya and Mersa Matruh, the Western Desert, Kairi and Ravenshoe and the assault and conquest of Tarakan. Also includes manuscript titled `We Return to the Western Desert', describing the return to Egypt of veterans from Germany, Italy, France, Greece and the Commonwealth to attend ceremonies commemorating the Battle of El Alamein, 1942. Includes vivid descriptions of Tel el Eisa then and now.
