Parramore, Neville (Corporal)
Description
Diaries and letters describe enlistment, training, active service in North Africa, Syria and New Guinea, and later garrison duty in Australia. Several letters and one diary provide an insight into conditions in Tobruk during the Axis siege, describing patrols, night attacks, air raids, listening post duty, and the reaction of 2/13 Battalion personnel to their aborted departure. Also comments on the battle of El Alamein during which Parramore was wounded.
