History / Summary
Awarded to 3204 Corporal Archibald Thomas Winter. Winter enlisted on 10 August 1915 in the 7th Reinforcements of 17 Battalion, AIF and later transferred to 55 Battalion. On 3 March 1918 he was involved in a raid on Whiz Farm east of Wytschaete and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for his actions. He embarked for return to Australia on 8 April 1919 with the rank of Temporary Sergeant.
