Monk , Mr FO
Description
"Taim Bifor". Memoir of Monk's experiences in New Guinea during 1940 to 1945. Covers a range of experiences as Monk arrived in New Guinea as a staff member of the Bank of New South Wales, then a member of the New Guinea Volunteer Rifles, then the Australian Imperial Force and finally the Australian and New Guinea Administrative Unit. The manuscript documents insights into the NGVR and work of ANGAU officers during the period of the Japanese surrender in the Wewak area.
