Informal portrait of Wing Commander (Wg Cdr) Brendan Eamonn Fergus "Paddy" Finucane RAF, DFC of No. 452 Squadron RAAF, attending Buckingham Palace with his mother, Florence to receive his Distinguished Service Order medal (DSO). He was later awarded two bars to his DFC. Wg Cdr Finucane was later attached to 602 Squadron RAF and was killed on operations over Etaples, France, on 15 July 1942, aged 21 years.
