Rusted water bottle: Sandakan POW Camp
Description
Australian 1903 pattern water bottle. Made from blue enamelled iron. The bottle has been severly rusted and corroded.
History / Summary
Found on the site of Sandakan POW Camp by members of B Company 2/4th Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment during an adventure taining exercise in July/August 1988. The items were initially discovered by a villager digging in his market garden.
