Description
Photograph relating to service of Matron Ethel Gray CBE RRC.
Annotation on reverse reads; ‘My dear Maud, This photo you may have seen, but thought you might like one for yourself. I love have not time to write a letter by this mail we have been very busy. Nearly all our beds are filled – and two more wards going up. The work is interesting thought strenuous at times. I hope Ruth is still improving, and gaining weight. I should so love a photo of her. I hope she rests a good deal and that you are feeling stronger. I have not heard from you for some time. We had no mail last week. My fond love, there will be a little pastel for Ruth in Flo’s that Miss Norris is taking. Ethol.'
Printed on postcard paper.
