Ayrshire, Scotland. 1945-01-08. The wedding of Wing Commander J. N. Davenport DFC of Sydney, NSW, CO of No. 455 (Beaufighter) Squadron RAAF of Coastal Command and Miss Sheila McDavid of Ardrossan, Scotland, took place at St Cuthbert's Church, Saltcoats. The two brothers of the bridegroom were present at the reception. All three brothers are members of the RAAF on active service in the UK. Left to right: Flight Sergeant K. Davenport, Wing Commander and Mrs J. N. Davenport and Flight Lieutenant P. Davenport who acted as best man.
