Description

Circular woven cloth patch of the Australian and New Zealand Rotary Wing Aviation Unit, an element of the Multinational Force and Observers, (MFO) Sinai, 1982-86. The black velour badge has a green border, and shows the embroidered red and black silhouette of an Iroquois helicopter over a map of the Sinai peninsula. Flanking the map are a red embroidered kangaroo and kiwi. The words 'ROTARY WING AVIATION UNIT MFO SINAI' are embroidered in yellow inside the border. The patch is marked in black ballpoint pen on the reverse with the words 'GLENN LITTLEY'.

Cloth patch worn by members of the Australian and New Zealand Rotary Wing Aviation Unit, an element of the Multinational Force and Observers, (MFO) Sinai, 1982-86. This patch was worn by Royal Australian Air Force Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Glenn Littley, who served with the unit during 1984.
