Ondangwa, Namibia, 1990-03-04. General view of the military base, with in the foreground part of its perimeter fence of barbed wire. Originally built by and for the South African Defence Force, the base was now occupied by the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) in Namibia. Elements of 17 Construction Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE), were among the UNTAG units that used the base.
