Souvenir of Liverpool Camps pendant
Description
Circular, gilded souvenir pendant. Around the outside of the pendant in raised lettering is 'A SOUVENIR OF LIVERPOOL CAMPS'. In the center of the pendant is a soldier with slouch hat taking aim with his rifle. There is small suspension hole with decorative keeper at the top; the reverse of the pendant is blank.
History / Summary
The Liverpool Camps were the main training ground for Australians that enlisted in New South Wales. The origins of this pendant are unknown. The camps had many visitors, whether this was sold to soldiers or their visitors is unknown.
