Wales. 1943-02. Damage sustained by a Sunderland aircraft of No. 461 Squadron RAAF based at the RAF Station Pembroke Dock, which was involved in a forty minute action over the Atlantic, first with two German Junkers JU 88 aircraft and then against two German Folke-Wulf 190 aircraft, one of which was reported seriously damaged. The Australian members of the crew were 404610 Flight Lieutenant C. B. Walker; 403778 Pilot Officer K. M. Simpson; 407499 Sergeant (Sgt) R. Goode; 26697 Sgt P. K. Turner.
