London, England. 1943-03-30. The Boomerang Club celebrated its first birthday. Telegrams of congratulation poured in and the Club was packed all day. Distinguished visitors included the Duchess of Kent who was photographed with some of the RAAF airmen, escorted by Sir Claude James, Agent General for Tasmania. In the background can be seen Mr S. M. Bruce, High Commissioner for Australia, and Mrs Bruce.
