Outdoor portrait of NX29416 Gunner Thomas Henry Easdown Smith, 2/15 Field Regiment. Gunner Smith was taken prisoner of war in Malaya and survived the war. The verso is inscribed " How do you like our/ dress for jungle marches/ Parang (big knife), compass,/ .45 revolver & water/ bottle was my quota/ Oct 41,/ Malaya. 'Tom Smith' has been pencilled by another hand.
