Description
Collection relating to the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) service of 328072 Sapper (later Lance Corporal) Christopher P Tierney, 17 Construction Squadron, Namibia, 1989.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of two used envelopes and a poem. The envelopes were printed for the 17th Construction Squadron while deployed with UNTAG to Namibia and are illustrated with graphics related to the squadron, the United Nations, and Namibia. The poem, entitled "The Toy Soldier", was written by Tierney as a reflection on his [negative] feelings of the experience of being a soldier.
