Collection relating to Neil Davis, war cameraman and correspondent
Original caption: "1973. East of Tonle Sap (River) about 15kms north of Phnom Penh. Former Khmer Rouge, now fighting for the Khmer Republic against the KR - during an action. They are known as 'In Tam's Khmer Rouge", as they retained their unity after defecting to the Republic side and fight as a separate unit. This was encouraged and made possible by Prime Minister In Tam. Photo taken during action against then former KR comrades (a soldier comforting his mate, who is near death). Davis was with them on this occasion."
Photographs relating to Neil Davis, war cameraman and correspondent. This collection was collated by author Tim Bowden in the research and publication of his biographical book "One Crowded Hour - Neil Davis, Combat Cameraman 1934-1985". Captions on the reverse of the photographs are a mix of comments from Davis, Bowden and/or the original owner of the photograph (often unidentified).
