Description
Palestine, 1941. Australian soldiers at the entrance to a shop called "Hefzi-Bah", one of a local chain of stores. The two soldiers in the centre are rolling their own cigarettes. The sign over the shop entrance proclaims the "Hefzi-Bar" chain as: "The largest department stores in Palestine on the line of Woolworth's." (Original print held in AWM Archive Store) (Donor D.
