Innisfail, QLD, 1944. Fay Brazill, Australian Army Medical Women's Service (AAMWS), a member of the Australian Chemical Warfare Field and Experimental Section, carrying out experimental work with a pipette and test tube in the unit's laboratory. The unit, later known as the 1st Field Trials Company, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE), conducted research on the effects of mustard gas and other chemical warfare agents.
