Collection relating to the Second World War service of QX9699 Gunner Thomas Francis (Frank) Copelin, 2/10 Australian Field Regiment, 1940-1946, and QX9698 Gunner Harold Victor Copelin, 2/10 Australian Field Regiment, 1945.

Wallet 1 of 1 - Wallet consists of a letter written by Frank Copelin to his family shortly after liberation from captivity as a prisoner of the Japanese, his pay books, record of service book and demobilization procedure book, his POW medical history card, a signed menu card from a dinner at Government Rest House Malacca in 1941, pay statements and correspondence from the Repatriation Commission. The letter discusses health, treatment by the Japanese, lack of mail, and his eagerness to return home. The collection also contains a Certificate of Death on War Service for Gunner Harold Copelin, a letter from Queensland Echelon and Records giving details on Harold Copelin's death, and the final statement of account for a deceased member of the Australian Imperial Force.
