Refuge Bay, Hawkesbury River, NSW. c.1943-01-17. Informal portrait of Major Herbert Alan `Jock' Campbell, a member of `Z' Special Unit, Australian Services Reconnaissance Department, outside a tent at a training camp. He was preparing for Operation `Jaywick' in which operatives carried out a successful raid in MV Krait on Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbour.
