Description
Blangy-Tronville, France, 1918. Dugouts occupied by the 2nd Divisional Signals Company, 1st AIF, in an area east of Amiens. At left is the makeshift post office indicated by a sign with, next to it, a biscuit tin for a mail box. On top of the post office is the unit's mascot, a rooster named "Jack" or "Jackie". A member of the unit is crouched in the low entrance to the dugout at right. (Donor B. Garcia)
