RAF Station Leconfield, Yorkshire, England. C. 1943-10. Portrait of 416687 Squadron Leader L. D. Leicester of No. 466 (Halifax) Squadron RAAF, a twenty year old RAAF pilot from Micham, SA. He is probably the youngest Flight Commander in Bomber Command. Since 1943-05 he has flown on numerous operations including attacks on Berlin, Hamburg and targets in the Ruhr.
