[Scenes at Nui Dat and Vung Tau and Change of Command Ceremony between 12 Field Regiment and 1 Field Regiment March 1969] / David Brook
Description
Film shot on a Canon movie camera jointly by 414809 Captain (Capt) David Newbold Brook, 17095 Capt Nicholas Andrew Jans and 2/Lieutenant R.P. Austen, all of 12 Field Regiment (12 Fld Regt) Royal Australian Artillery between 1968 and March 1969. Capt D.N. Brook shot the handover ceremony held in March 1969 between the outgoing unit, 12 Fld Regt and incoming unit 1 Fld Regt. 12 Fld Regt gun detachment in the green ceremonial uniform and fired first, 1 Fld Regt gun detachment in normal working dress. Also present were troops from 105 Field Battery (105 Fld Bty) incoming, 104 Fld Bty and RHQ/HQ Bty 12 Fld Regt outgoing and "A" Bty 2/35 Artillery U.S. Army. The firing took place from the 104 Bty position on the western side of the perimeter at 1 Australian Task Force Nui Dat.
