Corsica, France. c. 1944-05. Members of No. 451 Squadron RAAF at a bivouac in the Corsican countryside near Poretta and Serragia. The men's makeshift shelter consists of blankets and ponchos thrown over a framework of branches and ropes. The squadron, having arrived at Poretta from Egypt on 1944-04-18, moved to Serragia ten kilometres to the south on 1944-05-23. (Donor M. Johnson)
